HSJ Integrated Care Summit 2022

This year over 120 senior NHS and local authority leaders from across all 42 integrated care systems will come together at the HSJ Integrated Care Summit to discuss the challenges around place-based and system-level working. On Thursday 20 October, HACT’s Chief Executive, Andrew van Doorn, will be speaking as part of the session on “Looking beyond health and social care: Building place-based partnerships and healthy communities”.

We ask Drew to share his thoughts on attending the event, and the importance of respresenting the housing sector.

Drew, you are attending the HSJ Integrated Care Summit this week, why do you think it’s important to represent the housing sector at this health event?

It’s important to represent the housing sector because housing and social landlords have a huge amount to offer to the integrated care agenda, be it as providers of specialist care and support services as organisations who work with the people who experience some of the worst health inequalities in our communities, or organisations who are anchor institutions and can have a huge impact in being part of the integrated future of our housing, health and social care services.

What do you think are the key issues and topics to address at the event?

What do you hope to get out of the event?

What’s your message for those involved in integrated care?
