We are delighted to welcome Jacqui Bateson, who joins HACT as Managing Director. Simultaneously, we wish Mary-Kathryn Adams (or MK) all the best in her new role at Simetrica-Jacobs.
Jacqui joins us from the Skipton Building Society, where she was Senior Sustainability & Customer Empathy Manager. She worked for the society for over 23 years, in legacy and operations management roles. She has also sat on the Board of three housing associations: Craven Housing, Yorkshire Housing and, most recently, Broadacres housing association, where she chairs the governance committee.
Mary-Kathryn – known throughout the sector as MK – is leaving us after seven years, most latterly in her role as Dputy Chief Executive. She is joining Simetrica-Jacobs, who have worked with HACT in developing the social housing sector's leading social value metrics, the UK Social Value Bank.
Andrew van Doorn, Chief Executive said “We are delighted that Jacqui is joining the HACT team at this unprecedented time in our sector and society. She brings a wealth of experience from both inside and outside of housing to HACT and a passion for driving forward the social purpose of social landlords. As we begin to move out of lockdown and into our recovery phase, fresh perspectives are needed, combined with a drive to make a difference. We are looking forward to working alongside Jacqui as our sector and HACT moves into this phase.”
“MK has been at the forefront of driving forward HACT and our work over the past seven years. She has been instrumental in the growth of our social value work, in laying the foundations for our research and evaluation services, and in making ideas such as data standards a reality. Although we wish her a fond farewell, we know that her work with Simetrica-Jacobs will continue our collaboration. We are excited for both MK and our partnership with Simetrica-Jacobs as we drive forward the social value agenda in housing together.”
