Delta-Simons and Stonewater are the latest organisations to sign up to support the development of HACT’s social value roadmap.
Ali Yarrow, Technical Director in Environmental Planning at Delta-Simons, said:
‘’Delta Simons are very pleased to support HACT on the development of the social value road map. As environmental and sustainability consultants we are really looking forward to sharing our knowledge with the working group to allow us to identify and examine the environmental values that can deliver positive social value in this sector. We see this as a really critical and positive step in being able to deliver coherent planning and ESG policies to this and other sectors.’’
Karen Stephens, Director of Strategy and Transformation at Stonewater, said:
“Contributing to the HACT’s social value roadmap presents an incredible opportunity for us to measure the value of the impact we have on our customers and communities.
“From refuges, foyers and community-build schemes we deliver various innovative projects to support those whose needs are not met by the open market. Whilst these projects have no doubt transformed lives, we understand that we need to work collaboratively to share our ideas and experiences so that as a sector we can maximise the social, economic and environmental outcomes of our work.”
The roadmap will enable the social housing sector to use social value information to improve services, enhance decision-making and increase the impact we make. The first meeting of the social value roadmap group took place in January 2021.
HACT is in discussions with over 30 organisations from inside and outside the social housing sector about their involvement in the social value roadmap.
Organisations taking part in the roadmap include:
- Breyer Group
- Citizen Housing
- Federated Hermes
- Golding Homes
- Leeds and Yorkshire HA
- Poplar HARCA
- Social Value UK
- South East Consortium
- Wythenshawe Community Housing Group
- Your Housing Group
Organisations wanting to join these pioneering organisations in developing the roadmap should contact James Williams.
