HACT's year as the CIH Presidential Charity 2010-11 raises over £26k

HACT was delighted to be the chosen charity for the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Presidential Appeal.

Throughout the year, a number of fundraising activities took place, including golf days, quiz nights and collections from the CIH regional conferences, as well as contributions via the Housing Heroes and UK Housing awards.

Professor Paddy Gray, 2010/11 President of the CIH, supported HACT throughout his year-long Presidency, which ran until June 2011. Paddy said:

“I am very proud to be supporting HACT during my year as President of CIH, during my presidency of the CIH. It is a big year for them as they are celebrating their 50th anniversary.

As you might have heard, HACT has launched a competition for the sector to support ideas that help vulnerable and marginalised people. My presidential appeal will go to support the pioneering work HACT has done in building bridges in local communities. This is one of the three themes of the competition."
