Housing and health

Housing and health

Housing has a critical role to play in the health and wellbeing of people, and communities. We bring the housing and health sectors together to make this happen.

Built on a collaboration between HACT and Common Cause Consulting, we support housing providers who wish to work with the NHS, and NHS providers who wish to work with housing.

We provide the following services:

  • Evaluation:  Well framed, reputable evidence is critical in starting conversations with colleagues in the health sector. If you're not sure where to start or how to do it, then this service is for you.
  • Engage: This service will help you understand the complexities of health, identify new developments and opportunities, and explain what you do in a language that will provoke interest.
  • Integrate:  If you think working with the housing sector is simply about selling land so they can build keyworker homes, think again. Housing associations are about more than just homes. They are significant investors in their local communities, deliver numerous health and wellbeing initiatives, and participate in primary and secondary disease prevention.
  • Inspire:  We connect the housing and health sectors, whether online or offline, through roundtables and events or through White Papers, research articles and think pieces.
