Paul Jameson, Director of Procurement at Genesis, and Nick Atkin, CEO of Halton Housing Trust, were announced today as new board members of housing association ideas and innovation agency HACT.
Gavin Cansfield, Chair of HACT and CEO of North Hertfordshire Homes said:

“Paul Jameson has been at the forefront of driving new thinking in housing procurement, within an organisation – Genesis – which has consistently looked to push boundaries right across its business.
“Nick Atkin has almost single-handedly transformed the way in which digital issues are engaged with in housing, putting it right at the centre of thinking about the future of the sector. “
Paul Jameson said:
“Housing associations need to reimagine what it means to be a modern, ethical landlords, delivering both sustainable business return and significant social value across everything that they do. I’m excited to be able to bring some of the thinking we’ve been developing in Genesis – particularly around the critical role of procurement - into the sector-wide innovation focus of HACT”.
Nick Atkin said:
“UK housing is starting to recognise the sheer scale of transformation needed if it is to meet the challenges of a transformed operating environment. Digital innovation is at the very heart of the change that needs to be made. I want to see HACT leading the way in defining where the sector needs to go next.”

Nick Atkin is Chief Executive at Halton Housing and a driving force for digital innovation in housing. Nick has been fully paperless for the last 14 years and has driven through a fully flexible/ remote working approach across his business. He has led the drive for 90% of Trust customers to be accessing services online by 2018, and for the last three consecutive years the Trust has been the most digitally connected organisation in the Visceral Business Connected Housing Index.
He been is included in the top 25 most influential people in housing, and speaks, writes, blogs and tweets incessantly on housing issues and innovation in particular (@nickatkin_hht).
Paul Jameson is Director of Procurement at Genesis and prior to that spent seven years leading procurement at CityWest Homes. Originally trained and qualified as a chef, Paul has spent time working at the House of Commons and privately owned restaurants. He is committed to delivering excellent customer service, with a passion for identifying unique and market defining solutions to perceived impossible problems. With over 20 years procurement experience, the last decade in the housing sector, he is committed to ensuring procurement makes a lasting difference to housing provider businesses.
Paul and Nick replace Paul Smith (formerly of Aster Group) and Heather Bowman (Sovereign) , who stood down from HACT’s board at the conclusion of their terms in November 2015. Gavin Cansfield replaced Tom Murtha as HACT’s Chair in November 2015.
