Golden Projects Competition

- offering new opportunities to tenants and residents that might not have seemed available to them; for example, in work, in learning, or in their housing options;
- building bridges between different members of the community from different ages, faiths, ethnicity, background or other;
- sharing power between professionals, housing organsiations and communities, which can mean shaping formal structures of community engagement, partnering between housing providers and community led organisations or supporting people to tackle ways of working which make them feel disempowered.
Have you got a bright idea that could make a difference to vulnerable or disadvantaged people?
We want you to play an active role in our work for the next ten years. To celebrate our Golden Jubilee, we’re promoting a Golden Projects Competition – this is your chance to design and pilot a project that will improve the wellbeing and living conditions of vulnerable people. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a tenant, a senior manager or a frontline worker, we want you to get your idea backed by your housing organisation, and present it to a panel of housing experts, including HACT ambassadors.
The proposal that’s chosen will then become a HACT pilot project: it’ll be announced at our Golden Jubilee reception at the House of Lords in November 2010, and will be started in 2011.
So how do you enter the competition?
