As part of the National Housing Federation's Supporting Residents into Employment Conference, HACT's CEO will be participating in a panel discussion about the findings from HACT's recently commissioned report 'Housing providers' approaches to tackling worklessness - assessing value and impact'.

Amongst a range of changes to the planning system arising from the Localism Act is the introduction of neighbourhood planning and the community right to build. These represent significant challenges for housing providers, but also real opportunities for those able to respond and engage effectively at a local level.
This seminar examined and discussed the potential role for housing providers to develop a neighbourhood media programme and to support digital inclusion as a means of offering residents new ways to influence services and participate and engage in their community.
